Direct marketing firm creates in-flight gift catalog

Birmingham-based direct marketing company Private Shoppes, LLC developed an in-flight and online gift catalog where general aviation passengers can find great items. These gifts can be used as gifts for women, men and children.

There are about 3 million passengers traveling yearly and this could serve as a revenue-boosting opportunity for retailers since their products are prominently featured on the pages.

A smorgasbord of passengers including celebrities, sports athletes, diplomats, entrepreneurs and businessmen fly frequently and while killing the time, they’d reach out for the gift catalogs and go through the items.

Several in flight caterers, private air terminals and jet charter operators have reportedly teamed up with Private Shoppes.

Christie Communications CEO Gilliam Christie said that Private Shoppes is the best gift guide for affluent shoppers as it reaches out to the target market.
